Breaking Bane

Sorry for the unexpected delay. It appears once again, that nature will always win out in the end against man's technology. I'm guessing the thick, humid air here is the main culprit for fucking with my Wi-Fi, despite blowing over $130 bucks on equipment so that wouldn't happen. Sigh.

Going for the hat trick as far as having three posts in a row with the letter B in the titles. And, no it's not intentional.

Today's skit features my 3 favorite and figure-handy members of Gail Simone's much loved Secret Six series. It's a damn shame were we live in a world where terrible, horrible comics like Deathstroke(not the character) and the current incarnation of the Suicide Squad are around, but not the Secret Six. Or hell even a decent Doom Patrol one. Well there was, but Didio and pals decided to ax it, you know, so that they could make room for that abortion of a comic event called Flashpoint. If they just wanted Batman and the Flash to share a tender moment, they didn't have to reboot an entire universe just to make that happen. I'm just saying is all.

Anyhoo, on with the show......

-Catman and Deadshot see a legless Bane crawling by.

Catman: "Whoa! What the hell happened to you Bane?

Bane: "Nothing to worry about Blake. This is merely a minor setback from my plan to break the Bat again."

Deadshot: "Uh, but your missing your legs. You're not breaking shit but a parking space until you get your legs back."

Bane: "I assure you Lawton, this is merely a scratch."

Catman: "Seriously man, your what about your fucking legs? I thought with the crazy amount of money made from that recent Batman movie, you'd at least afford a decent pair of legs."

Bane: "A mere flesh wound Blake!. And no, I did not see a dime from that accursed movie. A fact I shall remedy as soon as possible. Good day gentlemen."

Catman: "You believe that shit?"

Deadshot: "Hardcore man; hard-fucking-core!
So, you want to grab a burger?"

Catman: "Sure. All this amputee drama's strangely making me hungry."

Yeah I went there, want to fight about it?

And here's the ironic song choice of the day. I think it fits the topic well, don't you:)

It's Katrina and the Waves, with "Walking on sunshine."

just give Bane a shot of that Lizard serum and he'll be fine i heard side affects are really rare. thank God you didn't post a video of that walking on the sun song from smash mouth.

Ha ha, you're welcome Shlomo. I'll be honest though, I liked that song for about a minute when it first came out, as I thought Smash Mouth had some great potential back then. That never happened, and now they're relegated to nostalgia as forgotten acts of the late 90's/early 00's.

I could've gone with some other songs centered around walking, like the Police's "Walking on the moon", or a country hit entitled "I'm walking."

I stick by my choice though.

Batman and Flash sharing a tender moment....that's funny on sooo many levels.

Breaking Bane and Breaking Bad. Drugs all around. Wish I could get the proceeds much dope as bane does. Nice connection there bub.

@Omega, glad you liked that.

Breaking Bad...yeah had to go there. I actually watched the recent episode late last night, and at first I wondered what the hell that scene with the kid collecting the tarantula had to do with anything. Then I watched the ending, and whoa! Did not see that goofy-looking guy killing the kid. That's fucking hardcore.

Glad you enjoyed the post. Kick of your shoes and stay awhile:)

ya know what i DVRd that last two episodes but ahven't really had a chance to sit down and watch them because of all this time i've been spending with this blogging shit lately. the only answer is to sleep less so i'm gonna start cooking and take that shit just like Bane takes his venom.

AMC is not bullshitting man. Breaking Bad, Hell on Wheels, the Walking dead. Serious tv kid.

It's kinda' taken me awhile to get into Breaking Bad actually. I watched the pilot episode, but then stopped. I;m just know getting into this final season, but some of the first episodes kind of bored me. Not this last one though. Wow.

I'd like some Venom too, but the 'roid rage wouldn't be worth it. Just ask Batman how serious that shit is.

"Closing time. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here."

Well..... I kinda always knew this day would come, and it sure has. It's been a hell of a ride, but it's time to for it end. Ti...
