TGIF!!!!!!
I was checking out this site on Facebook, Marvel Panels W/O Context, and I came upon a lot of random, funny panels on there. There were two that really stood out, one of which I'm sharing with you today.
-Here's the original panel:
-There, Fixed It:
Now how convenient is that. She's his little blonde fuck buddy (And apparently according to JMS, Norman Osborn's too) and she's a CSI major, meaning her ghost can help solve her murder.
Who's seen the new trailer for the next MCU movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home?
I have and it's pretty good actually. No I still haven't seen Homecoming yet and I'm ok with that, but this one looks good enough to watch.
In the new trailer, Mysterio claims to be from an alternate universe similar to ours but different. Even Fury believes this story.
And while I know fans are all a buzz with the possibility of an actual multiverse existing, especially now that time travel is a thing in the MCU now thanks to Endgame, I personally don't feel that's the case just yet. Nope instead, I think Mysterio's story about being a hero from another universe is just like the monsters in the movie he created (Hydro-Man and Molten Man respectively) all part of his plot to endear himself to the MCU and get their guard down in order to do whatever evil scheme he's got cooked up.
Now sure I could be wrong here, but that's what I think. Not only is he pretending to be a hero, but he's also upping the ante by claiming to be from another world. And again, after everything Fury and Spider-Man's seen the possibility of a whole multiverse existing doesn't seem that all far-fetched does it?
I do believe this panels explains it all in a nutshell:
Speaking of Mysterio, guess who made the list of Spider-villains who could've just as easily been fighting Dr. Strange instead?
That's right this guy:
I'll explain why as I go over my Top 5 list of Spider-Man Villains that could've just as easily been Dr. Strange villains instead.
5). The Green Goblin
Read this and you tell that the Green Goblin wouldn't have a been a really good villain for Dr. Strange if Ditko had kept the supernatural aspect the character and his origins intact:
I'm not sure how the original version of the Green Goblin would've ultimately faired in the MU over time, or even if he'd become as popular as he eventually became, but I'd like to think he'd have been a natural for becoming one of he good doctor's most persistent foes. Hell, he could even retain the double identity of Norman Osborn, so that instead of being a persona that developed due to a chemical he created, it'd be more a case of supernatural possession.
4). Puma
Since his powers are already mystical in nature, it's not much of a stretch to me why Puma wouldn't be an ideal opponent for Dr. Strange. Replace his original purpose of being bred to kill the Beyonder with that of a/the sorcerer supreme and add in his side job as a mercenary, and you wouldn't have too work to hard to explain away his addition into Strange's rogues gallery.
3). Will O' The Wisp
Another science-created super villain, and fellow member of the Outlaws with the #4 entry, the Will O' the Wisp could instead be a magical creature, a demon, a vengeful ghost, or something else entirely. Either way he could become a potential mystical menace for the good doctor to fight instead of Spider-Man. His abilities of within the realm of the manipulation of the electromagnetic spectrum makes him on paper a very powerful threat to anyone. Despite all this, and his many, many abilities,

2). Venom
Yes Venom. All you have to do is just change alien symbiote to a tool of an evil sorcerer or demonic entity and Venom's your man.
And hey it's not like it's that much of a total stretch considering how Marvel's allowed writer Donny Coates to give the race of symbiotes a new, retconned origin as being created out of living darkness from the dark god known as Knull. If we were to fully go with the mystical aspect of Knull, then he'd make a logical enemy for Dr. Strange, with the symbiotes being soldiers in his war on everything, Strange included. Venom could either be a powerful symbiote that's given or gained independent sentience, or is an amalgamation of all the symbiotes personified as a creature calling itself Venom. Either way, Strange would have a new and very deadly adversary to deal with. 1). Mysterio
]
I've already given away the #1 entrant, but here's why he could be a potential villain for Dr. Strange:
Either his powers and abilities are mystical in nature, or he remains as he is, a formidable master of special FX with a personal vendetta against the good doctor due to say, being exposed as a fraud, or having one of his world-conquering schemes put down by Strange, either way, he gains an enemy for life in Mysterio.
I was messing around yesterday with some head swaps and figured I take a couple pics for the hell of it:
The Silver Sable head actually not only fits on the new BC body, but fits overall for a nice head-swapped look.
Likewise, the new Black Cat head fits on the Silver Sable body pretty well.
She looks like an agent of SHIELD or the Wild Pack.
Yeah, whatever happened to that Silver Sable/Black Cat team-up movie that Sony was supposed to make?
As you can the idea that the older BC head would be an easy head swap did not pan out for obvious reasons. The neck peg is too small and the head too big. Likewise the older BC head makes the newer BC neck look super long, making her look like an awkward giraffe. I bet she hasn't felt that ugly since high school.
I know there's a good number of people out there who don't care for the new Black Cat figure, especially because of those weird eyes over her chest. I've warmed up to the new look myself. Now don't get me wrong; I still prefer her classic look overall, but this newer one feels more like the Ultimate Universe version of Felicia to me.
Finally a figure I didn't think I'd like as much as I did, but once I opened him up and got him out of his package, he definitely grew on me.
The lack of ab and waist-crunch/articulation/swivel doesn't help the figure, but I can learn to live without it.
The lack of clearly defined, painted in web lines though are pretty low rent. Why Hasbro chose to cheap out like this and not have the webbing painted in I'll never know.
Something else for customizers to work on I guess.
Ok, you got me, it wasn't an "official" fight between the two, and it was Peter Milligan calling Spider-Man 3rd rate, but in all honesty if Peter and Buddy were to ever go at it, who do you think would win?
That's what we're going to discuss in this week's edition of
Personally I feel this would not only be a good fight, since they both have animal-related powers, but also I think they match up pretty good as far as classic silver age characters go.
Think about it, Spider-Man's also been a sci-fi guy who's always fought other mostly sci-fi guys. Animal Man's power set is definitely something that would be cool to see used against Spider-Man.
Spider physiology: Precognitive spider-sense ability, cling to most solid surfaces and webbing ability

-Animal Man:
Abilities
Ability to gain the powers of any animal that exists or has existed via access to "The Red
Ok so obviously Peter's smarter than Buddy, no question about that. I'd say they both should have the same amount of combat experience, with Peter having a slight edge due to the various degrees of lethal and very dangerous foes he's had to fight against over the years, compared to the more mundane and less powerful (with some exceptions) that Buddy's faced.
But....
...I think Buddy's powers would not only be a good match for Spidey, but that he'd actually offer up a unique challenge in matching them and quite possibly even out-powering them.
How so you may ask? Well think about it; since Buddy can tap into any animal's abilities, both nearby and stored in his body's rolodex, he has shown at his height, to be able to combine and use multiple animal abilities at once, therefore making. a walking one-man Sinister Six-like opponent.
Other than the what he showcased in the weekly 52 series while stranded in space, I don't think we've really ever seen Buddy push himself to the exact limits of his potential as far as his powers go. He might even, potentially, be more powerful than Spider-Man in the right circumstances.
I mean, Buddy did create life while tapped into the Red at one point.
Either way, I'd LOVE to see a definitive fight to the finish between them to see prove once and for all who's the better man.
So,
Spider-Man
VS.
Animal Man
Who wins and why?
Let me know you think is the last man standing in the comments' section....
-week with one last crazy, alterated Spider-Man cover.
Check it out:

Goddamn, just look at the level of disgust on Peter Parker's face as he flails about.
Not fear or surprise, disgust.
The only one who seems to show any concern is his boss J. Jonah Jameson. How fucked up is that?
On a side note, I gotta' point how the design of Prowler's costume by Jazzy John Romita really shouldn't work. I mean look at it:
Sure, with the right artist, it looks decent enough, but the chest design makes no sense whatsoever, and overall he winds up looking like Spawn's grandfather or something.
And then recently his look was given a "modern" redesign as part of the Marvel NOW initiative which makes him look really generic- looking to me.
I get losing the claws, but maybe they should've kept the cape and streamlined it a bit. I don't know, but something. Maybe keep the claws, but streamline and clean them up a bit.
Let's just say I'm glad Hasbro decided to go with his classic look when they decided to release his very own Marvel Legends figure.
It's wednesday and it's another day for another edition of
where I add my own caption on an existing cover, therefore "Fixing It."
This week is all about altering Spider-Man comic book covers and that's what I did today with this one:
Here's in the famous original cover:
Having not been alive yet at the time, my only exposure to this famous storyline was the issues of Marvel Tales that reprinted them with some sweet-ass, spooky covers:
This one was drawn by the famous European artist Moebius
And the sequel was drawn by the late, great Marshall Rogers:
And what the hell, how about I throw in this little quick gag:
I still love that classic parody video Starburst used, making a Lionel Richie head bust out of starburst candies.
Well, looks like it's another themed week this week, since it looks like I don't have anything else better to blog about, ha ha.
No actually I've been having fun taking the piss out of old comic book covers and inserting my own cute captions in there.
Hey, it's a (non) living!
I'm even debuting a brand new banner of make this official:
Nice, right?
On to the cover I "fixed".....
It's from a Spanish reprint of The Amazing Spider-Man #119:
So here's the original:
There, Fixed It:
In case you didn't feel like going to Google Translate to find out what "Pide usted aun mas? means, it means "Asks you even more? Or probably more like "Could you even ask for more?"
