Finger-Bang 2: Electric Bat-Boogaloo

Remember this famous panel from the late 80's?

Are you sure you're remembering right?

Not as bad as going blind, but definitely better than hairy palms.

-Or-

Apparently not. What can I say, chicks do love Batman.
Happy Hump Day......

"Love and Bat-Marriage, Love and Bat-Marriage..."

So apparently this happened......

I'm not even mad about it actually.

I look at it like this, let's see where this is headed. She hasn't said yes yet, even though I would think after all these years the answer would be a forgone conclusion.

If nothing else, if you hate it already and think Bruce should stay single and unmarried, then this could all easily be temporary, as is usually the case with these things. It won't last long.

Unless DC wants it to?

Bear in mind this is right after Batman and Bane went to war again against each other, and Batman had just seen his father again( well the Flashpoint version of his father) before he disappeared...yet again, beg him to quit being Batman and just live for himself instead trying to get revenge for parents.

So that's where his head was I guess.

Oh, and is Bruce just going to conveniently forget that Selena used to be, until recently before the newest reboot, a crime boss in the NU52? And didn't she kill people or was at the very least responsible for any deaths that occurred by members of her crew?

I guess not.

Still, I have to say the whole thing was pretty romantic, especially the part where Bruce proposes to Selena with the very same diamond she had stolen years earlier. Apparently he never returned it to the owners, and instead bought it because he knew someday he would need it. Now THAT'S the sort of planning ahead Batman's known for.

Good for him.
You can see this all go down in the recent issue of Batman, Batman#24, which should be out this week,

"I can't get no Bat-isfaction!"

Hey people,
I don't why, but that title sure sounds familiar you know:) Kinda' catchy.

So we're now in the Summer months homestretch, as July makes way for August, and the sounds of loud children on their way to school will soon be heard echoing throughout the streets.

Personally I can't wait for Fall, as this fucking heat is unbearable! And that's with air-conditioning.
Seriously, anybody tells you global-warming and the greenhouse effect isn't real, is full of shit!

So allow me to hopefully supply you guys with bit of  a distraction with yes, another bat-themed skit. What? You know you guys like 'em.

-Batman chases Catwoman throughout the streets of Gotham City.

Batman: "Here kitty, here kitty, here kitty, here kittaaaaaay! I tawt I saw I puddy tat!"

Catwoman: "Really Bruce? Here kitty, kitty? What, did you just now discover the 69 Boyz or something? Bruce, that song hasn't been cool since 1995!"

Batman: "Why must I be like that? Why must I chase the cat? Nothing but the bat in meee!"

Catwoman: "*Sigh* And to think......I was actually going to sleep with him. Stupid Selina."

Batman: "Meowww, woff, woff!"

Damn! Maybe Batman is wound too tight these days.

And how was your weekend?

Mine was pretty good, and next two are going to be even better me, as this weekend(Saturday to be exact) marks my 31st birthday. Yeah, yeah, don't rub it in, I'm old I know:(

So I'm heading up north for a father-son male bonding trip, and then the weekend after that, it's time to visit Heroes and Dragons; my not-so local comic shop. Good times I tell ya'.

And as always, I always face a dilemma; buy a shit-load of cheap back issue for my collection, or blow all my money on action figures. And yes, as of late, the action figures win. Trust me, it's a sickness. But like a junkie who doesn't want to be cured, I gladly go back for more. Crazy I tell yeah, crazy.

Of course things are a bit dry action figure-wise where I'm at, as the 2 Marvel Legends waves have long since come and gone, and won't be re-stocked with new waves until September. Well that's what they say, but who knows when I'll actually see them here.

All I know is that I'm psyched for the new ML US Agent figure coming out in this new upcoming wave. Fucking sweet!

And as is tradition here, I'll leave you folks with something to dance to. Yes it's time for a little Kitty, kitty action with those 69 Boyz!

Good times. Good times:)

"In August moon's surrender"

"The wild boys are calling
On their way back from the fire
In august moon's surrender to
A dust cloud on the rise
Wild boys fallen far from glory
Reckless and so hungered
On the razors edge you trail
Because there's murder by the roadside
In a sore afraid new world

They tried to break us,

Looks like they'll try again

Wild boys never lose it

Wild boys never chose this way
Wild boys never close your eyes
Wild boys always shine
"
-Wild boys by Duran Duran

Hey People,

Thought I'd squeeze one last post in for this month, and what a month it's been huh?
This month of August has been very crazy! Hurricane Irene, my 30th birthday, The Government almost defaulting in their loans, Beyonce getting knocked up, turning 30, the major earthquake on the East Coast, the violent riots in Britain, did I mention I turned 30?, and lots of other crazy shit all occurred during this month alone. Oh, and Ed O' Neil(Al Bundy) got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. See not all bad I guess.

Here's the link to a funny video I recently saw over at Bleedingcool.com. This video is made as a tongue-in-cheek response to all those comic book fans who are disshartened over the whole DCU reboot thing. It's actually not that bad, and as for the the attitude of the girl in the made up video, that's extactly the type of reaction I'd get from my wife if I tried to explain the whole thing. Love how the chick asks "What about Batman?" "Oh he's staying the same." See, women just love Batman!

Anyway, here's the link:

Now bear in mind, today is the actual, official day that Flashpoint#5 and the new Justice League#1 ship. Of course that means that there's already spoilers/people who've already read the damn thing, so how did they do?
*Spoiler Alert*

The whole Flashpoint event is revealed to be all Barry Allen(The Flash)'s fault. What!?
It seems in a genuine moment of weakness, he attempted to go back in time to keep his mother from being killed by Prof. Zoom, the reverse flash.  He uses the Speed Force and his trusty Time Treadmill to do this, but messes up when he uses the full power of the Speed Force to go back in time. This causes time to go haywire, and thus, Barry inadvertently created the FP world, thus Barry, not Zoom was the real villain of the story. Crazy I know. And if you don't believe me, chech this out:

In the end Barry attempts to fix the world one more time, but finds out the universe was split into 3. Huh? He merges the 3 as per the advice of a mysterious cloaked woman, and that's how we have the new DCU. Yeah, that's what basically happened. I'm glad I didn't buy any of the issues though.

The only nice thing I read to have happened at the end, was when Barry gives Batman a letter from his father from the FP world. It basically says that he'll always love him, and this makes Batman cry. Awwwww.

As for JL#1, it's mostly 20 or so pages of a Batman/Green Lantern team-up, as they search for evil aliens. No WW, Aquaman, or Flash appearances, but Cyborg(pre-Cyborg I guess) shows up. Superman appears at the very end after pwning Hal, and prepares to face off w/Batman. Again. Remember this is a new world though, and all of these guys haven't met yet. Oh and the big evil threat the JL are created to fight? It's Darkseid.
Yeah I know, "but he's dead." I guess reboots really freshen up a guy.

So there, if you didn't already know, now you know.

And that's me, I'm outta' here.......

"Closing time. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here."

Well..... I kinda always knew this day would come, and it sure has. It's been a hell of a ride, but it's time to for it end. Ti...
