How High?

So I went and watched the new Deadpool movie with my girlfriend and my sister, and damn did I enjoy the fuck out of it! This movie has single-handedly and personally, renewed my faith in Ryan Reynolds as an actor in comic book movies. His performance was just that damn good!

Seriously, if you haven't already, I implore you to go watch it now.

The jokes (both inside and non-insider) action and violence, everything....go watch it multiple times.

And if that still doesn't grab ya', how about the fact that it contains the most surprising Stan Lee cameo in Marvel comic movie yet! Especially because this is finally one character he didn't have a hand in creating. And R-rated at that! 

And yes there are extras after the credits, but all done, as the whole movie is, in typical Deadpool tongue-in-cheek fashion.

This time I'm pairing off two well-known boxers in colorful costumes, Darevevil and the golden age Wildcat.

You know Daredevil's deal, blind kid-turned laywer and costumed crime-fighter.
Ted Grant was a former heavyweight boxing champion-turned costumed crime-fighter during the the golden age of comics.



Grant was a boxing champion,


while Daredevil studied boxing and as well as had a father who was a boxer.

And they even have minor powers for that added extra edge;


Daredevil has chemically-mutated and enchanced senses, compinsating for the loss of his vision...

 ....while Grant has 9 lives(no really, he does).

No Country For Old Fury

Poor Nick just can't catch a break.
I can't be the only to feel that Nick's getting the shaft big time in favor of Sam L. Fury.

And much like today, Nick can't seem to go anywhere without his past popping out to haunt him.

Really makes your head ache with all the possible alien races he's supposedly killed. If he was a DC character, they'd probably retcon him in having been responsible for blowing up Krypton or something.

Ok, so yeah Wildcat was  as Tiger so aptly put it, "pretty much set up to fail." Yeah I guess so, but that was also the beauty of old-time fights like that. Outmatched or not, they didn't give a fuck. I figure if they were men enough to wear crazy-ass colorful outfits like that, than they're damn sure man enough to throw a punch at some like-wise costumed stranger. It's just how that era rolled.

Again, there was never any doubt that BP would thoroughly kick Wildcat's ass, boxer or no. But hey, that's just how they rolled back then with can-do attitude.

Well I did for the most part as well as I scored a bunch more back issues for cheap. Like 10 for a $1 cheap.
This is just a small example of what I got, since I already put the rest up.

Okay, so here's a new thing I'm trying out. It's called a Battle-Blog, and it's basically an updated version of So, Who Would Win? Just with figures and an actually voted and agreed on winner.

Today's initial combatants are The Black Panther and Wildcat.
