So, Who Would Win?: Gorgilla VS. Gorilla Man

TGIT!!!!!!!

Concluding the horror-themed month edition of

Where I set comic characters and/or teams against each other to see who'd be the last character or team standing.

This week is a battle of the man- gorillas, as I pit the beast called Gorgilla against an Agent of Atlas, Gorilla-Man, Ken Hale.

Let's compare their respective slots and see how they stack up against each other:

-Gorgilla:
AbilitiesSuperhuman strength, agility and durability

-Gorilla-Man:
AbilitiesWeapons expert
Skilled hand to hand combatant
Possesses the form of a gorilla
Immortality

Now originally Gorgilla was a huge, 20 ft tall monster back in the day, but after running into the FF and being transported to Monster Isle, he was shrunk down to human size. He still retained his abilities, but no longer had his size advantage.

With Gorgilla closer in size to Hale, this should be more of an equal fight. Maybe....

So,

So, Who Would Win?: Blade VS. Vampirella

TGIT!!!!!

Welcome one and all, to another edition of

In continuing with this month's horror theme, I'm pitting familiar comic horror-themed characters against each other in a battle to the death.

This week I'm matching a natural pair of enemies of I ever saw one when Blade the vampire hunter takes on Vampirella.

As usual, let's take a look at their respective stats and see how they compare to each other.

-Blade:
Abilities
  • Master martial artist
  • Skilled swordsman and marksman
  • Highly knowledgeable about vampire lore
  • Superhuman strength, speed, agility and stamina
  • Enhanced senses
  • Accelerated healing factor
  • Immunity to the bites of vampires, and immunity to vampire hypnosis
  • Slowed aging
  • Ability to sense supernatural creatures

-Vampirella:
Powers
Agility
Animal Control
Blast Power
Blood Control
Claws
Danger Sense
Energy Manipulation
Feral
Flight
Healing
Hypnosis
Immortal
Intellect
Leadership
Longevity
Marksmanship
Mesmerize
Shadowmeld
Shape Shifter
Siphon Lifeforce
Stamina
Stealth
Super Hearing
Super Sight
Super Smell
Super Speed
Super Strength
Swordsmanship
Tracking
Unarmed Combat
Vampirism
Wall Clinger
Weapon Master

Now from my limited understanding the main thing that separates Vampirella from other vampires is that she comes from a planet of vampires rather than originating here on Earth. She's the daughter of Lilith sent to Earth to kill evil vampires. And being that she's not 100% a traditional vampire, she doesn't have all of the traditional weaknesses that most vampires have.
I'm not sure how much that factors into this fight, other than throwing off Blade's initial plan of attack in the short-term.

So,

Blade

So, Who Would Win?: Godzilla VS. The Incredible Hulk

TGIT!!!!!!!!

'Tis that time again where we here @ The House of Fun play everybody's favorite game show,

All this month, So, Who Would Win? will have a Halloween theme, so expect any of the coming participants to have a horror theme or be directly inspired by the horror genre.

This week, I'm pitting Godzilla, the king of all monsters against the Incredible Immortal Hulk.

That's right, it's the King of Monsters against Marvel's green gamma-irradiated monster in a battle to see who's the toughest radiation-fueled engine of destruction.

Let's take a look and compare their stats and see just how they match up to each other shall we?

-Godzilla:
Powers
Adaptive
Agility
Berserker Strength
Blast Power
Chemical Absorption
Claws
Danger Sense
Electricity Control
Energy Absorption
Flame Breath
Healing
Heat Generation
Immortal
Intellect
Invulnerability
Longevity
Magnetism
Radiation
Stamina
Sub-Mariner
Super Hearing
Super Sight
Super Smell
Super Strength
Telepathy
Tracking
Unarmed Combat

-Hulk:
AbilitiesAs Bruce Banner:
  • Genius-level intellect
As Hulk:
  • Invulnerability
  • Superhuman strength, stamina and durability
  • Anger empowerment
  • Regenerative healing factor

Let's also take Godzilla's size in consideration. Originally he was no more than 164 ft tall. But as of 2019, he's been upgraded to being around 393 ft. Damn.  Good thing Hulk can leap pretty high huh?

And let's be honest, due to the sheer size and regenerative abilities of both combatants, expect to this fight to last a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time and threaten to turn the planet into a giant wrecking yard with all the property damage they'd do, not to mention the incredible amount of bystander casualties and injuries as a result of this fight.

As a side note, last week I was over at a friend's house and the 1998 remake to Godzilla was on.
Now I don't have to tell how bad that movie was. Thank Harambe I never watched it up until that moment, and then with both of us mutually acknowledging how bad it was, we almost had to finish it since it's a car wreck on film.

I took 5 things away from that whole abortion of a reboot:

1). That 90's reimaging was and still is horrible. Godzilla looked more like a dollar store knock off how you'd expect Godzilla to look. Horrible. Maybe the reused material from all those Jurassic Park movies during the same decade, idk.

2). Flame breath? More like lame breath. Why they removed his trademark atomic breath I have no idea. Plus he was asexual to boot.

3). Whoever cast Matthew Broderick in this thing should've been shot and violently killed. Seriously. It was like watching an unintended Ferris Bueller/Godzilla crossover movie. And not in a good way....at all!

4). I was fucking disgusted with Jimmy Page for cheaping Led Zeppelin's legacy when he did that god-awful collaboration with P. Diddy. It really took me a long time to let that one go. It still irks the fuck out of me that he allowed Kashmir to be sampled and fucked with like it was.  The fucked up thing is, I believe the song out-lasted the movie in both sales and popularity.

5). Broderick's ex-girlfriend/love interest was written as an opportunistic, shitty reporter who stole the tape that proved Godzilla existed, which in turn cost him his nice, cushy government job. And yet we're supposed to feel sympathetic for her? Fuck that. Bitch cost him his job and almost his life. The best thing they ever did was to break up in first place.

Rant over, but hopefully you all out there never saw it either.

Back to the fight at hand as it were....

So,

So, Who Would Win?: Groot VS. Orrgo

TGIT!!!!!!

Welcome to another edition of

Just like I did last year, I'll be going with a monster/horror-theme for this month's edition of So, Who Would Win? Using all all sorts of demons and monsters and pitting them all against each other.

This week, it's Groot, who was once just another typical  60's Lee/Kirby Marvel monster who'd later go on to become a beloved movie icon thanks to James Gunn's GoTG movies, going one-on-one with fellow 60's Marvel monster Orrgo.

Now I'll cop to just throwing these two randomly against each other, since to my knowledge, they might not directly know of each other, despite being created in the same decade and both attempting to conquer humankind once they arrived on Earth.

Let's compare their respective stats shall we?

-Groot:
Powers
Berserker Strength
Feral
Healing
Immortal
Intellect
Invulnerability
Leadership
Longevity
Matter Absorption
Plant Control
Size Manipulation
Stamina
Super Strength
Unarmed Combat

-Orrgo:
Powers
Blast Power
Matter Absorption
Reality Manipulation
Super Strength
Telekinesis
Telepathy
Teleport

Clearly, going just based solely off the stats, and how tall they can both get, this has all the making of a very intense fight that can go the distance.
I see this battle raging for quite awhile, leaving multiple cities and states, trashed to hell and back before this thing ever gets settled, or however long SHIELD lets them fight it out.

So,

Groot

VS.

Orrgo

Let me know who you think winds up as the last Marvel monster standing in the comments' section.

"Closing time. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here."
