Ol' Mr.Morbid's about to expose you guys to some good, clean and classic culture right now. Yes sir, nothing says upbeat funny shit like Mr. Roger Miller.

Yep, Roger Miller.



The same guy who famously sang "You can't roller skate in a buffalo heard", "Dang Me", and "King of the Road". Hell even sang and was the voice of one of the narrator in the Disney classic movie Robin Hood.

Well he also sang this next one, which you should've figured out already just from the title of today's post.
Except he's not singing it today. Nope, someone else is.........

Department of Youth

Yeah, I just went there;)

So I was going to go ahead and do the usual Back-Issue Spotlight, but then I was like Fuck It!
I'll treat my loyal readers to skit.

Why you might ask?

Besides the fact that I love you little bastards, I'm planning on running a theme week for the next two weeks. Next week is 80's week, where I talk about the TV/cartoon shows that had a big impact on me, and then the week after that is 90's week, where I do the same. Gotta' change things up you know?

Yeah with the way the soft reboot is working its' way down the list of Marvel characters, I figure it's only a matter of time before something like this happens to either the good Captain or someone else.

But not all of its bad; the new Spider-Man reboot of Nova looks promising, provided Loeb doesn't fuck that up with the sub-par writing style he seems to enjoy using right now. Maybe the fact that he named the new Nova after his diseased son is a good sign. I guess we'll see.

Then there's the sort of reboot of the Uncanny X-Men, with the original five back from the past. Hopefully they'll stay, and make the last unfortunate 5 years seem like they never happened  I know Marvel's been wanting to start from scratch of sorts and use the original 5 again, so we'll see how that goes as well.
