"Shut Up Bane!"

A quick little gag courtesy of a picture taken by David Willis, who just so happens to run his own blog and web comic series over at Shortpacked.com

Here's a link to an old Cat-Man figure review that the picture I used came from:
http://www.shortpacked.com/blog.php?postid=497

And yes, given enough drugs and alcohol, or a just a really good concussion, I can see Bane singing that famous line from the movie The Hangover.

I guess that would make Bane Alan, and that's.....hilarious......

So, Who Would Win?: Sabertooth VS. Bane

What's up People?

Well I've got some bad news.
OK so you know it used to work for the Fonze to just bump/tap/hit an electronic device if it was acting up, and it'd just work like normal afterwards?

Yeah well there's a good reason why that only works in imagination land; 'cause in the real world you run the risk of making things worse.
That's what happened to me last week when my slow, 7+ year old laptop was being a stubbornly slow bitch to me. I open-hand slapped it a couple times in the wrong spot, and essentially broke my hard drive.

I swear I didn't think I hit it that hard, but isn't that just what domestic abusers say all the time?

Anyhow, it'll be a good 2-3 weeks before I get a new hard drive replacement. Oh and to make things worse, the hard drive was so badly damaged that they couldn't read the data on it. Meaning I lost all my saved pictures, files and music. Everything's gone for good. Fuck me running....

So I'll have to ask you guys to be patient and bear with me as I seek to continue to post from my trusty, but also slow, cellphone.

Oh technology, such a cruel and equally giving bitch of a monster are you....

So with that in mind, I'll be posting mainly column pieces from here on out until I can start making skits again.

For today's post I'll be pitting everyone's favorite assassin mutant sociopath Sabertooth against the man forever edtched in history as the man who broke the Bat, Bane.

Hey, I saw why not.
They're both two of the most merciless, remorseless and very resourceful killers you'd ever hope to avoid ever, so why not pit them against each other and see who manages to limp away?

Sabertooth is second to his eternal rival Wolverine I'm terms of mutant healing ability and deadly, razor sharp claws.

He's been militarily trained in the art of fighting, has keenly-sharpened senses that can smell and track anyone or anything, and is basically just one bad dude you NEVER want pissed off at you. EVER.

Likewise Bane is also a heavily trained combatant, who's also a very intelligent and capable strategist.
After all he's the who orchestrated the massive jailbreak in Gotham City that caused Batman to be wore down enough to be susceptible to being as severely beaten and broken as he was by Bane in Knight Knightfall.

As deadly as he is just by himself, what makes him even more dangerous is the super steroid serum he injects called Venom.  It's Venom that's increased his already considerable strength to super max levels as well as increased his durability and given him a much-increased healing ability.
It's this extra edge that has pushed him to upper echelon of Batman's rogues gallery.

In my scenario, Sabertooth's been hired by a rival nation to finally end Bane's reign of terror in ruling over the island nation of Santa Prisca, Bane's home, and Sabertooth seems to be the type of solution best used to achieve this goal.

But Bane's no dummy. Using his genius-level intellect ( yes folks, he really is a smart motherfucker) he learns all he can about his intended killer, and makes a plan to deal with him and those that sent him.

So,

So, Who Would Win?: Nuke VS. Bane

TGIF Fuckers!!!!!!

How the hell are you guys?

Definitely in the middle of trying to create new and creatively imaginative material for the coming weeks here.
I don't know about you guys, but I've recently found myself losing interest in this blog. Yes, shocking I know, but amongst a lot of other factors, is primarily due to a an extreme lack of feedback.

I want it.

Good, bad, ugly, in the middle, I don't care.
I just want to know what you like, don't like, etc.

Why?
Well for me it's simple. I fully understand that to even have your own Blog, much like a social media account, requires a healthy bit of ego. You obviously have to feel that you have something to say that feel is going to be both relevant and entertaining/informative to various people out there. You have to want an audience, want to be able to communicate with like-minded individuals that share the same likes and dislikes as you. And I do.

And yet to be brutally honest, outside of die-hard regulars (which are themselves these days very hard to maintain due to life in general) there really aren't any here.

I have more followers on my Twitter account than official Blog followers.
I have more followers on my personal FB and Instagram pages than I do here.

Yeah, I know, and I swear to you all, this isn't like some kind of pathetic plea or appeal.
If you like my stuff, you'll read it and hopefully leave me some feedback.

If not, you'll go about your business and devout your valuable time and attention elsewhere. And there's nothing wrong with that. Truly.

What burns my ass is apathy.

People who might read what I do, and not give a shit.
Ok, I've been guilty of that myself with other blogs, and trust me, I've learned my lesson.
And I know primarily I do this, as we all do, to entertain myself. If I don't like what I've written or done, I make sure I do it better next in a way I will.
Live and learn, and all that crap.

The point is, leave me some fucking feedback people.

Anyhoo, enough with the ranting, let's get to the fighting.....

Now earlier I compiled a list of characters I figured would be really friendly with Nuke, even if temporary.

This time I've set Ol' Nukie up against one of those individuals who should be a similar kindred spirit, Bane.

They're both pretty similar in strength and size, with Bane being a bit bigger and taller, but not by a really large margin or anything.

Bane's powered by a super-steroid much like Nuke is.
They're both have extensive military training as far as combat and weapons go, although depending on which version of Bane you use, the Pre-52 version also had the benefit of training from Ra's Al Guhl's League of Assassins when he once considered Bane a worthy heir, so there's that.
And Nuke does have metal bits replacing damaged skeleton....

Otherwise they seem like a pretty even match, don't you?

So,

Nuke

So, Who Would Win?: Venom(Eddie Brock) VS. Bane

TGIT!!!!

How's the whole Christmas shopping thing going? Finished yet? Did you even start?

I myself am pretty much done, all thanks to Amazon. I don't know about you guys, but shopping online really does have its advantages, especially during the holiday season. It's quick, convenient, and probably saves you money on gas as long as its proven to be worth it.

Either way, I hope you guys have much success on that front.

Okay, so for this week's edition of So,Who Would Win?, I decided to match up two very popular villains, who both seem to be related to each other by one name, Venom.

Venom is Venom's name of course, and what Eddie Brock chose to call himself once he bonded with the alien symbiote that Spider-Man rejected.

"Venom" is the name of the drug that the man who calls himself Bane uses as super-steroid to the nth degree, giving him vastly enhanced strength and durability.

So what if these two ran into each other? Would it be because Venom heard about Bane using a drug named after him? Would it be during Eddie's stint as the lethal protector, and they simply run afoul of each other when Eddie interferes with Bane assaulting someone?

Does it matter, just as long as these two iconic 90's villains finally duke it out to see who's better?

So here's two possible scenarios on how this goes down;

1). Venom has vastly superior strength and uses the symbiote's abilities to break Bane worse than what he did to Batman.

-Or-

2). Despite being at an obvious advantage, Bane has either studied Venom enough to know how to effectively neutralize him, probably with some tech weapons he conveniently brought with him, or through sheer force of will and alpha-maleness, he causes the symbiote to leave Eddie and bond with him instead.

Either way, we're privy to one hell of a fight.

So,

Venom(Eddie Brock)

I'd love to read what you think about this quintessential 90's dust up.

That's me for this week, have a good one people....

Got Legs?

What's up people?
Have a pretty decent weekend?

Probably a lot better than this guy's had in awhile I bet......

The End

Ha ha, makes sense though, right?
Poor Bane. Still legless after all this time.

And just in case you couldn't see the image in Bane's thought box, here it is:

Yup, it's the man himself, Lieutenant Dan, before and after.

What About Bane?

What's up people?

Who's up for some Deadshot and Catman skit action, with a slice of Bane thrown in?
Cool....

The End

Funny inside/behind the scenes info:

I was originally going to go with the DKR Batman, seeing as how he's so fucing huge, it'd be ironic kind of that a big, buff Batman would kick bane's ass like Bane did him.

Then I thought, but how much funnier would it be for it to be the Adam West Batman to be the guy who pwned Bane?

Hey, I love batman, and I appreciate the hell out of Adam West and what he as the 60's era Batman did for the franchise, but he was pretty much the soft, lovable 50's dad . Not initiating and dark at all.

So because of him, Batman got a black eye image-wise as a joke.

But not now. No one's laughing at this version of Batman. Certainly not Bane;)

Finally, anybody remember a comedy movie titled "What About Bob?" Starring Bill Murray?

That's where today's title comes from......jus in case you were wondering.....

"Closing time. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here."

Well..... I kinda always knew this day would come, and it sure has. It's been a hell of a ride, but it's time to for it end. Ti...
