So, Who Would Win?: The Punisher VS. Deathstroke The Terminator

TGIT!!!!!

Man I hope I haven't done this before, 'cause it sounds very familiar.
Anyhoo, for this week's edition of So, Who Would Win?, I'm pitting two lethal bad-asses against each other, as I pit Frank Castle, a.k.a. The Punisher against Slade Wilson, a.k.a. Deathstroke the Terminator.

Both of these guys are extremely, EXTREMELY proficient killers who are pretty much, to borrow Wolverine's famous catchphrase, the best there is at what they do...and what they do ain't pretty.

Both guys were also in the military before eventually becoming the kind of ruthless killers they'd later famously become.

Both guys are also just regular non-super-powered individuals, although Slade's more than just your average paid mercenary;
He's basically an evil version of Captain America, in that he has superhuman stamina and reflexes, and is at the absolute peak of human strength and endurance levels. Throw in a healing factor and you can understand why he's been giving the heroes of the DCU such a hard time for as long as he has.

Another thing both Slade and Frank have is that they've faced their world's premier superhero team, and kicked their asses, as Frank's been shown to pwn the Avengers ins some stories, while Slade's pwned the JLA in Identity Crisis.

The only difference (while some would argue there really isn't a difference between the two) is that the Punisher is technically a "good guy" who only kills criminals, while Deathstroke kills whoever he's hired to kill, so yeah, he's mostly labeled as a "bad guy".

The thing is though, that over they years, writers and history have shown that labels like good and evil, black and white, can't really applied to other man since they've shown themselves in both word and deed, to be highly complex men.
In other words, for being such ruthless killers, they've certainly displayed their fair share of qualities and personality traits that put them in a sympathetic light depending on the stories that written about them.

Hell, they both have a unique code that they strictly adhere to; Frank won't kill those he views and deems as innocent or other superheroes, while Slade believes in always honoring a contract and his word, no matter what.

What's really interesting though is the differences in where each man is represented in other mediums.

Slade was the main villain in the (Green) Arrow tv show for 2 seasons, before DC decided they wanted him on the big screen instead and in his own movie, and wrote him out, but not before jobbing his ass to Ollie and his sister, While Frank's had 3 movies himself, and is set to star as the main "villain" in the upcoming new season of the Daredevil Netflix series.

Both so similar, and yet so different in their own little ways.

So,

The Punisher

VS.

Deathstroke the Terminator

Who Wins and Why?
Let me who you think will out-smart and out-last the other...

I don't think you can consider Deathstroke "non-super powered" givien his healing factor, reflexes and brain usage capacity. Even so it would be a damn close fight but the before mentioned attributes to Deathstroke would give him the edge. Unless The Punisher could manage to get him in his one good eye that could change the equation.

Well non-superpowered in the traditional sense. Again, he's more like Cap in the peak human abilities, but enhanced to such a degree that he's way above regular guys, but not shooting lasers out of his eyes or bench-pressing fords.

I do agree thought that unless Frank hits him hard from the get go and in such a manner that Slade can't catch his breath and recover, Slade's stamina and healing abilities allow him to outlast Frank for the win.

"Closing time. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here."

Well..... I kinda always knew this day would come, and it sure has. It's been a hell of a ride, but it's time to for it end. Ti...
