So how was your weekend?
Last week I went a bit overboard and bought up a bunch of older ML/DCUC figures. I was trying to be good and save my money like I'm supposed to, but then I suddenly came down with an urgent case of "Ah, fuck it!"
So I bought up the following:
-ML Silver Surfer(had to have him to complete my roster of OG Defenders)
-Marvel Select Days of Future Past Wolverine(and it came w/ an adult Kitty Pryde and cool base that has the entire cardboard poster background of the infamous Wanted poster from the cover of UNX#141.
-DC Superheroes Darkseid(and he has his own Mother Box as well;)
Yeah so not bad. The Surfer figure was the one I wanted the most, and I was super-impatient, so I went ahead and paid the $35 for 'em. He did come w/the Howard the Duck figure, but I didn't want him and gave him away for free to one of the store's employees, thus making his day in the process.
All in all this month, I]m pretty sure I dropped well over 200 bucks. Yeah I know, I'm taking the whole "support your local small business" to the extremes, but well, there it is.
I also want to thank friends and family members for not going "But I thought you were retiring from buying action figures this year?"
And indeed I really was, until.............my new comic book store opened up, and all sorts of action figure-goodness distracted me from my path of righteousness. Well that's the answer I'm sticking with, so there;)

Hey I'm a big fan of both, even though sadly one of them(weed) is still not decriminalized.
Basically my stance on that is this:
I'm a big pro-hemp and pro-legalization of marijuana guy. Always have been, always will be. And if you're a regular viewer of my skits, you probably might have already guessed I was high on something with some of the shit I've written.
Anyhoo, the fact that hemp is still illegal on a federal level is both archaic and just plain stupid.
Many congressmen and state representatives on the state level are arguing for and submitting bills in congress for the eventual legalization and decriminalization of marijuana.
And why not? the prohibition of Alcohol was repealed, why not Hemp? Alcohol-related deaths are significantly higher than any deaths, if any(and you'd have to look super hard to find any) that are contributed to marijuana/hemp.
