King wanted it. Now he's got it:
Here's my submissions for the King's Royal Art Day project:
Not done yet.
Whoa, how'd that get there? That's the only pic I bothered to take all day despite being at a con. Yeah I know. Priorities right?
Anyhoo that's Frank Farrow. He's the main protagonist in first few arcs of Kansas.
It'll be similar in tone to Miller's Sin City of course but better. The fucking hack;)
Official cover to issue 1 of Kansas from Grindhorse Studios.
This comes courtesy of our cover artist Russell Moore. This guys's phenomenal guys.
Unused panel.
Worked on it for two days, but it never came out right on the printer.
So that's a big reason why we're sticking to black and white comics.
He is:)
Our main artist/co-writer/creator Chris McCoy designed it.
More to come soon folks......

i like the simple line work of that logo and it's good from a composition stand point as well. the mascot kinda reminds me of one of the Micronaut aliens to no surprise he goes by the name Centaurus http://csuhsux.deviantart.com/art/Micronaut-Mego-Aliens-430162479
I added the link!
Sorry, man! -Got a late start with all this last night and then fucking slept all day and had a late start again today... *sigh* ...young love.
That 2nd one creeps me right the fuck out! Especially at full-size. -Especially the mouth.
I got the first one- but what are the lyrics to the other two from?
And thanks for participating! -I know you've had your hands full.
B&W comics are the way to go, man... Some of my favorite books ever are black and white.
So dig that logo/mascot.
Dale man I got to give it to you, You and your crew are doing big things my friend and I applaud it. Not only that I'm on board. Just let me know when the material comes out and anything the Cage can do, it's done.
Totally awesome work ya got going on there, Dale. Absolutely rocking...
That mascot is awesome! More creations need mini-gun arms!! Hopefully he'll get a book or two in future.
I reckon B&W is the best too - David Aja, Francis Yu, David Finch, Frank Miller, Mike Mignola, Matthew Lark, Steranko, Kirby - all the greats look just as good in BW if not better. The IDW Artist Editions prove that.
Lookin forward to seeing more mr!
@Shlomo: Thx man.
@King: The 2nd one's from the song "Electric Blue". I think it's by the same group that did "St.Elmo's Fire", but don't hold me to it.
The 3rd one's made up.
Young love huh? Who's the lucky potential Mrs.King?
I think so too, especially with an indie book this'll be. Just seems like the way to go for now.
@Omega: Thx brother, appreciate it. It's supposed to be dropping in June. That's the goal anyways. I'll let you guys know as soon as it's official, but that's the release date.
@Dan: Right? Rasputin is his own character man.
The guys just found a solution on how to introduce more characters, especially the ones contributed. They'll be featured in back-ups, while the main story with Frank moves along like an old-time serial. Loving it!
Thx for the support Dan. I'm looking forward to wherever this journey with Grindhorse takes me.
@Dale: Alright. Cool cool cool!
What? Oh, yeah- no. She's already gone. -Better to burn out than to fade away!
-They do be trippin'...
