"Once upon a time on the West Coast...."

Oh snap, it's Monday!!!!!
Arrghhhhh!!!!

Ha ha, so how was your Father's Day? Good I hope.

Alright getting straight on to business, here's a little untold tale from the early, early days of the West Coast Avengers.

Enjoy;)

The End

Ah, that Tony....Denial isn't just a river in Egypt buddy;)

Here's some real quick updates before I sign off:

Bought the following figures last Saturday, and for a hell of a deal to:
-ML Vision(1st series)
-ML/Spider-Man line Electro
-NU52 DC Unlimited Batman

I'd been looking forever for a 1st series ML Vision, who's vastly superior to the 2nd one that came out from Hasbro, so I'm happy on that front now.

Likewise, finally buying Electro really goes a long way to complete my Sinister Six collection. Is it weird that both the Vision and Electro share the same color scheme and body buck? I guess not....

Finally I broke down and bought NU52 Batman. Hey it's Batman, and he doesn't look bad. Although the 1st issued one would'be been better, as this one rocks the metallic paint on his body. Hmm

As a freebie, the comic shop owner gave me the Hex movie toy edition of Leliah(Megan Fox). And yes you'll see here soon. How's tomorrow? Soon enough for ya'?

He also gave me a free copy of Scott Snyder/Sean Murphy's newest Vertigo horror mini-series, The Wake.

It's not bad so far, and the art looks really good, but idk, just not my cup of tea so far. We'll see where this 10-issue mini goes.

And that's me,
take it easy people.

I would so buy a bottle of whiskey shaped like Iron Man's face plate. I don't know if that makes me sick or not. I just know it would be wicked cool.
Also, in the Ultimate universe, Tony has a brain tumor that not only talks to him, but actually is kind of a super hero in his own right. So his face plate talking to him...meh. Not so nuts.

No not sick. You simply have your priorities straight is all.

Does UIM still have that pesky tumor? he's had that damn since the 2nd vol of the Ultimates.

I don't think it's the same one, actually. I just think it's the latest one. He managed to communicate with it and convince it not to kill him. So it does odd jobs for him.
If I ever get a brain tumor this will be the first thought that goes through my head.

oh that ever persistent demon in a bottle. well i ain't judgn' we all have our coping mechanisms. Hell, what do you think my videos are all about?

Randomnerd said...

And god bless your coping mechanism, Shlomo. :) Yeah, we've all got them. Some more healthy than others. Personally I'm just happy to have all you guys around to share them with.

Yes, yes we all have our own coping mechanisms, 'tis true. I guess as long as it's somewhat healthy and doesn't turn into foraging for money or shit to sell so you can make your very own Peanut Butter and Crack sandwich(thx Chappelle Show)

I only forage for money in video games. Does that count?

Mr. Morbid's House Of Fun said...

I guess. But it has to be taken to an extreme, where you spend your kids' college money on video games. It's not an addiction unless someone get hurt;)

Randomnerd said...

Hmmm. The only people that get hurt are virtual. So I guess that doesn't count.

Hate I missed this video game conversation, it's been an eventful couple of days though.

Hawkeye is my very favorite Avenger and Dale you nailed him cousin. The outfit, the cavalier personality, not to mention he beat Iron man with a damn bow and arrow. Take that skynet.

Oh the wake looks like some serious physical and mental torture stuff is going down under the ice. Scott Snyder did make some guys in owl mask terrifying. I might have to check this one out.

@Tiger, thx man. You know I try;)

The Wake, or at least the creature you see at the end does seem interesting. and at least it's something new, that's a non-superhero book. So there's that.

"Closing time. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here."

Well..... I kinda always knew this day would come, and it sure has. It's been a hell of a ride, but it's time to for it end. Ti...
