Welcome to another edition of So, Who Would Win?, where I pit two comic book teams or two individuals against each other in a fight to the finish to see who'd be the last team/person standing.
In honor of Hurricane Irma which is currently threatening to tear up the lower East Coast of the US with its category 5 strength winds this weekend, I'm pitting two weather-based comic characters, Storm from the X-Men, and The Weather Wizard from the Flash's Rogues, against each other in a battle to see who's the superior weather-powered person.
Let's take a quick look at their stats and compare the two shall we?
-Storm:
Abilities | Weather manipulation |
---|
-Weather Wizard:
Abilities | Weather manipulation via weather wand Limited magnetic manipulation |
---|
Histories may vary due to all those reboots, so it depends on which version of the Weather Wizard we're talking about; the one that still needed his weather wand, or the one that no longer needed the wand to channel his weather powers.
For today's battle, I'll use the version that still needs his weather wand. It'll make it more interesting that way I think.
So really, they're more or less very similar in weather manipulation powers, although with Storm, she has more natural, innate ability to the extent that has a very intimate connection with the planet through her powers. That may or may not give her a slight edge over the artificial means and methods of the Weather Wizard's powers.
You'd also have to think the Weather Wizard's experience fighting someone like the Flash would also help factor into the speed of his response time in regards to Storm's attacks as well.
So,
Storm
VS.
The Weather Wizard
Who wins and why?
As always I'd love to hear who you think ultimately wins out in this one by posting your picks for the winner in the comments' section below.
Have a safe and happy weekend, especially to all of my fellow lower East Coast people, from Florida on up to the Carolinas and Georgia.

Guilty as charged, yes, yes it was. I thought it was very appropriate.
Well it used to be that yes, the weather Wizard was somehow able to replicate and manipulate weather patterns/systems with his scientific (magic) wand. I think then he grew to being able to have those powers without needing the wand to channel those abilities. Then the Phew52 happened, and he needed the wand again.
Gotta' give it to Storm to for have the greater ability to tap directly into the planet's overall weather system and straight out manipulate versus the limitations of WW's wand.
Dude, in about a couple hours from now I'm gonna update that Black Power posting with something awesome that I happened to stumble upon at a random car show earlier today.
