RIP Sir Roger Moore (1927-2017)

Another day, another death, this time being Sir Roger Moore.

I just happened to see the brief article on CBR.com, and I was surprised that he had died quietly battling cancer.

When I first read it, it hit me harder than I expected. He was 89 and had lived a long and very fruitful life.

Maybe it's because it was cancer, the same thing that ultimately claimed my own father's life last year that did it.  Maybe. All I know is a man who personified class and grace, both as a lifelong actor and as a tireless humanitarian for UNICEF, will truly be missed for what he contributed and gave us.

If you want to know more, here's a nice link detailing his life and achievements.

Me? I think I'll re-watch an old episode of the original Muppet Show that he hosted back in the day.
Here's some clips to get you started:

Oh believe me between all these celebs from child hood passing away lately, my farher's health issues and being in my mid 40s I most certainly have a better appreciation of life then I ever had before. I'm other wise cool but I could really use a vacation thank God for Memorial Day weekend I'd like more then just three days off but I'll take it for now.

"Closing time. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here."
