So, Who Would Win?: The Green Lantern Corps VS. The Brood

TGIF!!!!

Attempting to do a horror-themed edition of So Who Would Win? for the rest of the month, and what's scarier than a deadly race of killer aliens bent on universal domination?

Today I'm pitting DC's intergalactic policemen, The Green Lantern Corps against the evil and viciousness that is Marvel's Brood.

For those who don't know (and how can you not by now) the Brood are are an ancient alien race of carnivores based on a monarchy system, i.e. they have a queen mother, who sends out her workers to go and forcefully colonize other worlds.

They do this buy going out and attacking and implanting Brood eggs in other beings, that are later taken over by the embedded Brood eggs. So basically, if they don't straight up kill and eat you, they'll knock you up with their eggs, that'll later kill you by transforming into a new Brood soldier.. Nasty, nasty business, that's been going on ever  since writer Chris Claremont introduced them in Uncanny X-Men#155, back in 1982.

Here's a description off their official and what makes them so physically so formidable:

Physical characteristics[edit]

Despite their resemblance to insects, the Brood have endoskeletons as well as exoskeletons. Also unlike insects, they have fanged jaws instead of mandibles. Their skulls are triangular and flat, with a birthmark (such as the battle axe which is most common in broodlings but are different for each Brood) between their large eyes. Their two front legs are actually long tentacles they can use to manipulate objects.
Due to their natural body armor and teeth, the Brood are very dangerous in combat. In addition, they have stingers that can deliver either paralyzing or killing poison.

Damn. Yeah, so they're really nothing you want to fuck with....even with say, superpowers.
But that's exactly what groups like the X-Men, Avengers, and many other various Marvel superheroes have done over the years.

In my scenario, the Brood have finally spread to the sectors of worlds protected by the GLC, to continue to do what they've always done, multiply and conquer.
It's by doing so and attacking a GLC member, that the paths of both participants become bound to meet.

The GLC enter in the last recorded sector where the Brood home world is set to be and prepare to mete out some much deserved justice for their fallen brothers and for the untold number of victims from countless worlds taken by the Brood.

So,

The GLC

VS.

The Brood

Who wins and why?
As always let me know what you think in the comments' section.

Have a good one folks.....

finally a match up between two advisories i'm familiar with. in terms of a head to head conflict the GL corps have a pretty big edge in terms of raw power. but in a conflict with a larger scope the Brood could use many of their other powers to get the upper hand like with their shape shifting abilities for sabotage and spy operations. either way it would be a cool match up although not quite as cool as The Brood vs The Dire Wraiths.

I think it'd bed pretty cool, not to mention a very long, drawn out campaign, with plenty of casualties on both sides.

Brood VS. The Dire Wraiths huh?
I'm curious what your scenario would be for why they would fight it out, other than maybe because of territorial feelings, such as conflict over competing food sources.
Elaborate.
