Equalizing The Question

Trying something different here.
Inspired by the new rebooted movie version of The Equalizer, I thought to myself, "Shit, the original TV theme would make an awesome theme for a street-wise superhero show, like say The Question."

Done and done.

Here's my attempt at an intro to a TV show starring The Question, and set to Stewart Copeland's(of The Police) cool as fuck theme for one of my favorite shows back in the day, The Equalizer.
Anyone remember watching this back in the 80's:
So bad-ass! Besides shows like the Fall Guy and the A-Team, I always loved the theme song to shows like this back in the day.

Here's my humble efforts at recreating the original.
Enjoy.

i remember that show but i never watched it. i dunno i guess some middle age English dude as some kind of tough guy just didn't go over with me back then. kinda curious about the new Denzel movie but really after Man on Fire is there any need for any more revenge flicks with Denzel you just can't top that one. also, did you see Gotham last night? i thought it was ok enough to see the next episode at least. we'll see if the season premier of SHEILD is any good tonight. i was looking at some random clips of an Arrow episode with the Suicide Squad on youtube yesterday that show still looks hokey. The Flash looks pretty lame too from the clips i saw also is that show actually going on i'm totally out of the loop on that one.

We here in England knew Edward Woodward very well indeed for his tough as nails spy saga Callan so we were used to seeing his hard-ass persona. It was funny tho seeing how old he was yet still kicking ass in the city!
All I mainly remember from this series was Melissa Sue Anderson [playing his daughter I think, could be wrong] and she was kidnapped in one episode.
Good effort here Dale.

@Shlomo: I know right? Denzel, much like his peer Liam Neison, pretty much play the same type of elder badass now in all their movies. Now don't get me wrong, they play those roles really well, but still. Switch it up guys.

Didn't watch Gotham. Just not interested. Don't care about Gotham pre-Batman. Just give me Bruce as a teen-early adult, traveling the world and learning the various fighting skills and trades he later uses as Batman.
That's all.

I can see why Arrow looks kinda' hokey. SHIELD looks worse to me though, so good luck on watching the new season. I'll stick to Arrow, AHS, and Sons Of Anarchy thank you very much.

Not super keen on who they picked to play the Flash, but too early to judge just yet.

@Karl: Thanks man. And hey, wasn't he in the original version of The Wicker Man? I heard Nic Cage bombed the shit out of the remake, so I'll be skipping that putrid piece of shit.

DUDE! Awesome.
-A The Question television show would be SO easy to make!!! I don't understand why it has not been done. It would basically be a news/detective procedural with the easiest prosthetic/makeup and wardrobe in history... PLUS it would be a "superhero" show... AND they could plug in supernatural, corruption, political, and mystical angels so easily... I don't get it. Plug and play Denny O'Neil's run and GO!!! It's gotta be on HBO, though. No PG shit for this guy!

@King: I definitely agree. No disrespect to the Question's creator Steve Ditko, but O'Neil's run really was the definitive version of that character. So yeah, easy makeup job and using O'Neil's run as a blueprint for a series is a total no-brainer.

Get to it DC!

Glad you enjoyed it King.

i'd be down for a Question tv show i'm glad the 3 of us can agree on something. my one disclaimer is that if it were done by the CW all bets are off. it would be almost as shitty as anything steve ditko drew in the 80s and 90s.

@Shlomo. There's no telling how the CW would handle a Question show. I'd like to think it'd be decent enough and require no more in the cost department than the Arrow does. Hell, probably just even less. They'd really have to use the supporting cast that O'Neil created in his series, bc there's no one else to use already except Vic's friend Professor Aristotle.

Then there's Hub City. A city worse than Gotham in regards to corrruption and crime.
That alone is worth exploring.

Otherwise, I'd suggest cable networks like AMC or Showtime to maturely handle that character.

I watched Gotham, and it was kind of meh. I'll stick with it for a while, but we'll see what they do.
I have to disagree with you about Arrow being better than SHIELD. I don't see that. The worst episodes of SHIELD are still higher quality all around than Arrow. Now, I like Arrow. I watch it. But it's a pure "I love comic books and this is what I've got" kind of watching. Plus, it doesn't depress me like SoA does.
Yes, Dale. I will catch up on that eventually. :)
As to a Question show, I'd love it. But I'm with Shlomo here, the CW should stay away.

"Closing time. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here."

Well..... I kinda always knew this day would come, and it sure has. It's been a hell of a ride, but it's time to for it end. Ti...
