I dont know that much about Bowie but an old school friend of mine, Chris Chibnall, who writes for Doctor Who and Broadchruch was a mad as shit fan of his back in the 80s and 90s...couldn't get enough of his songs. when we went round his house you could hear some of his songs miles away [or so it seemed].

@Karl: Damnit! Just noticed 3 different incomplete dialogue balloons. Shit.

Back to your comment, there's no denying Bowie's damn good, no matter the decade.

I bet hearing. Bowie that loud, even far away, was like heaven.

*sigh*. I'd leave a comment but I'm too busy listening to Golden Years and Major Tom on a loop now.
Totally off topic, but if you watch Venture Bros, did you ever notice how much Thom looks like the old Dr. Venture?
Kind of freaky.

@random: oh, you're good ging. Carry on....
Yes, yes I did. I had the chief comment on that very similarity a couple of Doom Patrol skits back.
Its either fucking uncanny or intentional.

Also there was that episode where they just said lines from Major Tom as part of the actual dialogue. I'm getting a Kennedy/Lincoln vibe here.

A silly one, but I love Bowie's "Cool World," from the soundtrack for that movie. Not a great movie, but I still have that disc floating around...

@King: Really? And Will Payton? Well other than James Robinson, at least he has one other fan, ha ha. Naaw, it's all good man. To each his own. But I will agree with you he got a raw deal, which Robinson kind of fixed.

@Goo!: Bowie did a track on Cool World? Hey, that was a pretty good movie for what it was. Kim Bassinger as Holly was sexy as fuck, and although Brad Pitt might wanna forget about this one, it's still one of his solid early movies.

"Closing time. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here."

Well..... I kinda always knew this day would come, and it sure has. It's been a hell of a ride, but it's time to for it end. Ti...
