A cold day in hell...

                                    TGIF Motha truckas!

Hope you survived St.Pat's.  Yesterday's project was a major pain for me, as I still have a hard time coordinating how to post pics on here and such.  So plese bear with me as I work out the numerous kinks. I've been diligently working on future topics, so expect some hopefully funny new ones.

Here's the continuation on the Guy and Cap BBQ series. Guy hired Captain Cold of all people, to come by and keep the beer cold. 'Cause you know, no one likes cold beer. Except for  Asians, but I digress. Now you might be asking "Why the hell would Captain Cold help out Guy Gardner? Aren't they technically enemies?" And you'd be right, but seeing as how we're all affected by this horrible economy, people tend to do things they wouldn't normally do in order to get a little extra cash flow going. So with that in mind, I give you the conclusion and an interesting aside to Guy and Cap's BBQ. Enjoy.

Sheesh! Hard times for everyone indeed! But hey, it's not like Captain Cold would sweat Chris Hansen if he ever found himself on that Dateline show. I figure he'd either freeze Hansen and leave, or he'd have his good 'ole buddy and fellow Rogue Mirror Master transport him out of there via some mirror sitting around. Still though, could you imagine how that one would go?

Cold walks in with a six-pack and maybe a movie. I don't know, maybe one of the dozens of Ice Age movies out there, and then all of a sudden....

"Hello. I'm Chris Hansen from Dateline. Where you supposed to meet MileyFan69 tonight?"

Cold: "Oh shit! Uh, no, no, I think I have the wrong house. This isn't Miley Cyrus' secret home away from home?
Dammit Trickster, I'm gonna' kill you for this! She said she was 18. She's 18 right?  Ugh"

Seriously folks, we all know Cold's not like that. He pays for sex with hookers instead. Just like Geoff Johns wrote in that Captain Cold spotlight issue. #182 I believe.  After all, if he flipped out on Mirror Master for liking the china white, then there's no way he'd go for underage sex.  You know, because he maybe a criminal, but he's got a moral code.

Tune in Monday, where I attempt to discuss why Alex Ross hates Firestorm so much.

Religion can be funny....

Yes, we've all been there. At one point or another, or even far more frequently than we'd like, a scene like this happens. Some Jehovah's Witness or two stops by and knocks on your door. You then have 2 choices: either you answer the door and listen to their little spiel, or you don't and ignore the knock at the door.  And even if you should choose to not answer, they'll still stick a little pamphlet in the side of the door or under it.  I personally don't why they bother. I get that it's what their bible tells them to do; to go out and spread the good word and all, but still don't they realize that they're one the most hated and avoided groups of people out there?   They have to.  I wonder if even other chrisitians or religious groups want them around. Can you imagine if say a Jehovah's witness were to stop by a Buddhist or Hindu's house and tried to pettle Jehovah on them? I'd imagine they get some weird "what the hell are you doing here?" looks, maybe listen to them alittle, and then send them on their way. Just remember kids, if your religion isn't like theirs, then your is wrong.

And another thing, why do they always have to show up on saturday or sunday morning? It's like they know you trying to relax from a busy work week, but that doesn't stop them from showing up and trying ruin your day.
Oh well God bless 'em right? If they don't spread their gospel, who will? Reformed/I found God convicts? Imagine that for a minute.

Beer Me!

So I've restarted this little blog again after a 4-year absence, and plan on discussing whatever topic that comes to my mind. I plan on showcasing certain things while doing this blog, such as showing off my art, as bad as it is, and other thoughts and observations.

So with that out of the way, may I humbly present my own take on Twisted Theatre orignated by the now dearly departed Wizard and Toyfare magazines.

You know I was thinking earlier today about Guy Gardner and the Ultimate Captain America.

now you're probably wondering, "what do those two have in common?" I'll tell you what:

Guy and Cap are both portrayed/and have been portrayed as roughnecks, uber-patrotic, and above all, ready to kick ass. So with that in mind, I wondered what it would look like if these two overly-macho guys hung out together. You know, kick back, drink some cold ones, fire up a grill, and what for the impending invasion of bad guys. You know, 'cause that's what always happens when heroes try to take a day off and enjoy a BBQ; some asshole villain shows up looking to kill/maim our heroes, and then all hell breaks loose, and it's off to the races we go.

Well, I have a scoop for you guys courtesy of a bunch of TMZ wanna-be's. Check out these pics obtained whilst said pair of Guy and Cap try and enjoy a day off for a change......

Now all this seems nice right? Nothing going on, until of a sudden......

Tony"Boose-hound"Stark shows up, with a friend no less!

Now for those who don't know, Tony can sniff out the hootch man. If there's alcohol there, no matter where it is, Stark's on it like a fat kid in candy store.

We both know where this is headed......

And that's why friends don't let Tony Stark drink. More tommorow kids!

The Prodigal son returns...

Wow! I haven't posted on this blog in 4 years! Why you ask? Well to be honest, I simply lost interest and then forgot all about this thing. "Iron Captain vs. Man America"
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Look closely at this very cover, because it's the very reason for this post, as well as today's main subject.

Last night, as I was in a Green state of mind, I was reading one of my favorite hardcover books by Les Daniels, and his 50-year introspective of the history of Marvel Comics. While flipping through the book, I became transfixed on the cover to Tales of Suspense#59. Now historically this is an important issue. It features Captain America and Iron Man together in single title for the 1st time, as well as making the former horror title, a full-blown superhero mag.

Anyways I got to thinking about the current Marvel epic Civil War, when all of a sudden I had a drug-induced epiphany! The names on the cover should be switched around, and be read as Iron Captain and Man America. The reason for this is was simple to me; As pretains to Civil War, Captain America represents man, his ideals and the old ways of doing things, thus he is Man America. Iron man is the Iron Captain, who represents technology and the future of man/machinekind. His ideals speak to forward to the future. This is especially true now that man is increasingly becoming overly-dependent on technology, but at the same time, making man or the man-power of old, obsolete. Iron Man is the Iron Captain, representative of the csaptain of industries and and the voices of technology who now rule American and rich-world societies.
Civil War isn't just about Cap vs. Iron Man, or Pro-reg vs. Anti-reg, no it also represents old vs. new, especially the old ways of doing things and ideals vs. the ideals of progression and modern society.
Heavy stuff, I know, but that's what I was thinking about.
To top it all off, my fiancee' was also high, but saw into my mind when I was transfixed on that particular page, seemingly knowing what I was doing re-arranging the letters of the title page.
Weird stuff indeed.

"Another Year over...And a new one just begun."

This is my first post of the new year, and damn did 2006 go buy so fast!
Seriously I hate the idea of this being 2007, since it only seems like yesterday that is was 1997!

Anyways how did you look on New Year's Eve? What about the day after? Did you look like this guy:Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
or how about this guy?Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Hey this chick looks like she just found out that she's adopted, a bastard child, and has a genetic disposition to get really, really drunk! Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Haha, lousy drunk!

I got Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting for christmas and I really love this game! I strongly urge you to get this game if you're a big Marvel fan. I usually don't like these types of games, but this one really hooked me! I'm still addicted even though I already beat it.

I'll show more pics of my characters later, so don't worry I didn't forget, just haven't had access to a computer for awhile.

And now for your pics of the day:
