So, Who Would Win?: Sasquatch VS. The Demon

Haven't done of these in awhile, but I figured why not bring back an old feature for the hell of it this week.

For this edition of So, Who Would Win? I'm pitting Marvel Comics' Sasquatch against DC Comics and Jack Kirby's Etrigan the Demon.

This week's participants were purely chosen at random as I figured it'd be a fun and interesting match-up between the two who are both magical in nature (well Sasquatch is somewhat magical in nature his Sasquatch body is based of a mystical beast named Tanaraq)

Anyhoo let's look at each guy's stats and see how they compare.

-Sasquatch:
Abilities
Brilliant scientific mind
Ability to transform his body into a massive, orange-furred form
While transformed:
  • Superhuman strength, endurance, durability, and stamina
  • Regenerative healing factor
  • Sharp claws and teeth
  • Ability to leap vast distances

-The Demon:
AbilitiesImmortality
Superhuman physical attributes
Extrasensory powers
Regenerative healing factor
Expert in maleficium
Precognition
Telepathy
Can project flames of mystical hellfire

Based off the stats, this fight's going to be a very looooooong one considering the fact that they both have considerable super-strength and healing factors that'll negate to a certain extent any damage incurred during the fight.

So,

Sasquatch

VS.

The Demon

Who wins and why?

Personally I see this fight going the distance, but also coming down to Etrigan's myriad amount of demonic abilities. I think that and his unpredictable nature gives the edge in this fight. I could be wrong though, but that's how I see it.

What do you guys think?

Oh and the single Marvel Legends figure I ordered this month was the new X-Men Sauron BAF Wave Deadpool in his makeshift X-Men costume figure that comes a Madcap head.

Here's some images of what he looks like courtesy of the Marvel Legends review site Marvelous News.com:

What's a cool idea they presented here that I'm going to use myself for now is, is using the Batroc the Leaper body to place the Madcap head on since it really is the closest figure to match the color of his costume.

Love the sculpting they did on that Madcap face. It's so evil in its expressiveness.

Fixed It: Knights In Trump's Service

I'm starting the week off continuing with my new feature, (There)Fixed It, where I find a random panel from a random comic that inspires me to "fix" said panel with my own unique take on it.

Today I go after our esteemed Commander-In-Thief, Pres Trump all thanks to finding a random panel from an issue of Jack Kirby's The Demon comic.

     Here's the original:

     There, Fixed It:

That's so on the nose it's not even funny......and yet it still is.

The Demon has a tongue that's long and lean and makes even Gene Simmons say it's obscene

Kinky Morgaine, VERY kinky.
I guess his long, rhyming tongue fits your whims perfectly don't it? ;)

And happened all thanks to Tinder, 'cause apparently that ever-so popular dating app can even work for Jack Kirby's favorite Demon....

Now with a witty profile like that, how could any girl in right mind, pass that up?

Well I'm Glad He Finally Said It

Happy Hump Day

Apparently even the Gargoyle gets mistaken a lot for that Other Demon, Jack Kirby's Demon.
(Hellstorm#3)

Figures.

Although to be fair, the family resembance is quite uncanny.

Maybe Hellboy's related too?

If you guys already haven't, please go out and give those Hellstorm issues a try. Marvel was really trying to counteract the wildely popular Vertigo imprint at the time. This was their answer, along with the whole Midnight Sons and later Edge lines. Remember those?

Good stuff you should be able to find on the cheap.

So, Who Would Win?: The Demon Vs. Ghost Rider(Johhny Blaze)

TGIT!!!!

In keeping with yesterday's theme a bit with devils and the number 666, I've decided to go match up what I think would be an intetresting duel between two popular demonic-like "heroes."

So for this week's edition of So, Who Would Win?, I'm piting Jack Kirby's The Demon against Ghost Rider.

You gotta' admit, it's not that odd of a match-up really.

After all both characters have to deal with sharing their respective bodies with a human host; Etrigan shares his body with Jason Blood....

..... while the Ghost Rider persona has shared its existance with many human hosts, most notably Johnny Blaze.

The Demon does seem to probably be the more powerful of the two, but Ghost Rider's no push over in the power's department either.

So......

The Demon

VS.

Ghost Rider

Who wins and why?
You know what to do. Let me know you feel should win.

Finally, I got some Swag Tuesday.

I found a store in Columbia SC, called 2nd and Charles.
They sell new and used, books, games, movies, toys and comics. Lots of 'em...and trades too.

So I bought the infamous Bratpack trade by Rick Vietch.
Then #'s 2, 3, and 5 of Batman: The Return Of Bruce Wayne, Just Us: Multiversity, #4 of Aquaman: Time and Tide(so now that collection's complete), #3 of JSA: The Unholy Three, Almost all the parts to the famous Venom storyline in LOtDK, which first introduced the drug Venom(and for only a buck a piece! Can't beat that) , Batman: Brotherhood of the Bat one-shot, Justice League Europe#16, and Detective Comics#19(NU52)(the big 80-pager that sold for $7.99, but i only paid 2 bucks for it)
Earlier that day, I bought at a comic store in the same town, where I picked up Multiversity: Thunderworld and the Multiversity Guide book. If you haven't already, pick it up!
Sure the $7.99 price tag stings a bit, but it's very worth it, with the guide being Morrison's version of the old Who's Who, complete with a story that sets it all up.
Get it people. Solid stuff.

That's me for this week.
Take it sleazy......

True Story: The Demon and Ronnie Dio

What's up people?

Okay so I'm starting this new feature based off a very popular catch phrase I tend to use a lot,
"True Story."

If you've guys have ever had a conversation with me, be it on the phone or otherwise, you might just hear me say it.
Well, I figured I'd do something like what I'm about to do and showcase a new skit feature.
The gimmick? the kicker?

Not every story's a true story. Quite the opposite in fact.

Enjoy.....

The End.
(Well isn't it?)

"Closing time. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here."

Well..... I kinda always knew this day would come, and it sure has. It's been a hell of a ride, but it's time to for it end. Ti...
