Fixed it: Never Answer A Craigslist

-Original image:

-There, Fixed It:

And that's why you don't EVER answer an ad on Craigslist.

And that's my 1400th post.....yaaaay......*Total Sarcasm*

Soooo, this'll be it for me for awhile. I know I haven't posted here much as of late, and I've been putting off posting this 1400th anniversary post for at least a month now.  Well that's because I just haven't really felt all that creative lately and to be honest as I've commented in the past, continuing to make posts here on this blog just hasn't been all that fulfilling. Not for awhile now, thus why the long absence between posts. I've found I'm much more satisfied posting on my Facebook and Twitter accounts. That's the God's honest truth.

So at least for the rest of the Summer and perhaps longer, I'll be MIA.
But have no fear, I'll leave the place around instead of closing it down or anything like that.
I mean I still need to have a Blogger account if I want to comment on the rest of fellow bloggers' blogs. And of course I'll still be regularly commenting on said other bloggers' blogs, so there's that.

In the meantime, have a good one people and try to stay cool this summer.

Cheers.....

Take a look at these!

TGIT!!!!

I just discovered the British Heavy Metal group Praying Mantis while watching a video about musicians who had been kicked out of bands before those said bands became famous.

One such musician, was Paul Di'anno, formerly the lead singer of Iron Maiden.

Yeah I was pretty surprised to find out Bruce Dickinson was not the band's original lead singer too.

Anyways Di'anno has been in quite a few bands after he was kicked out of Iron Maiden, with one such band being Praying Mantis.

Again, I'd never heard of them until today, but after seeing an example of the artwork of one of their albums, I wanted to see more. So I went to Google, and tho and behold I found these beauties:

The artist behind these beautiful-looking albums is an artist by the name Rodney Matthews. Apparently he was designed and drew the bands first 3 albums, 2 singles and various other works and logos for them.

You can check out his work for them and other at his very own website here:
https://www.rodneymatthewsstudios.com/

Such a lost art that is.
And really that's I love and enjoy looking at album cover art for old vinyl records because they were so well-crafted and thought out, designed to grab your eye and make you pick up the record. Really no different from how comic book covers used to be designed to grab potential buyers' attention.

As for the music inside...it's not bad, but honestly they're peers/contemporaries are better.

But goddamn those album covers rock....

Jesus Fucking Christ Hal.....

Sure Hal, sure. That's what ALL pedophiles/child molesters and members of NAMBLA say.

Seriously, what the hell was DC thinking letting a such scandalous and potentially character-damaging storyline like this be allowed to be printed?

You can definitely file this under the tagline of my old features, What The Fuck Where They Thinking!?

Speaking of pedos, I don't know if you guys have seen this or not, but Vice News (of the Vice Network) tweeted a video of Sasha Baron Cohen (Borat, Ali G) interviewing Alabamian judge Republican Roy Moore.

What makes the interview so noteworthy (Cohen has a parody show called Where In America?) is how Cohen tricked Moore into the interview in order to fuck with him and call him a pervert without directly coming out and saying it.

Check it out:

HA! GOT 'EM!!!!!

Had a bit of inspiration yesterday and decided to fuck around and make some custom logos for my WWE 2K18 game.

One of the cooler features of the game this year is that you're encouraged to upload your own custom logos to use on the wrestlers you've created for the game with a site dedicated to doing just that.
It even gives you size options and everything.

Hell, you can even personalize you're very own wrestler by making him look like you if you want, but uploading a picture of your face. Yeah, cool shit right?

With that in mind, I just played with stuff, and wind up creating what I think is a new and soon to be classic Mr. Morbid logo.

Check 'em out:

Simple, but effective.

This is the money one. And probably my new logo for my  various social media accounts.

Fucking around with the clouds filter.

Here's the Vigilante filter for dramatic effect

I call this, Psychodelic.

Red variant

White variant

Wallpaper

Like the Coldplay song, it's Yellow.....

Anywoo, you can save these bad boys as regular JPEG's or PNG files and they'll all work.

And that's me for this month.
Before I go......

Hope you guys didn't forget that May was National Masturbation Month.

I know I didn't ;)

And no you can't have any! It's mine, ALL MINE I TELL YOU!!!!!
(It is actually. Custom-made it myself)

"Why Eclipso, You Got New Legs."

I guess you can thank/blame Gary for this one.
When reading about his site updates(which you can go directly to when you click on his name) specifically about the annotations to certain DC events from the past he's gone to the trouble of annotating, there's one about the 1992 event concerning the villainous Eclipso.

    Remember this?

Well whilst looking for ads for it that Gary and I might not have seen, I stumbled upon a sample piece of art for the Flash annual involved in the event. The sample at the top of this post.

Anybody remember the artist? It's a very young Travis Charest.

Yeah him. The same guy who would go onto work on the late 90's WildC.A.T.S. reboot with former X-Men writer Scott Lobdell

Good times. Good times....

Anyhoo, you can tell just how much Charest's styles has changed from his early 90's image comics style to stuff like this:

Yeah, he's definitely changed since those awkward days....

Soylent Green Hulk

I certainly don't remember THIS Hostess ad.....

So THIS is where Mark Millar got his idea for the incestuous, cannibalistic Hulk in Old Man Logan.

So, Who Would Win?: Onslaught VS. Dormammu

TGIT!!!!!

Oh God is it REALLY the last day of November already!?

*Sigh*

Well at least I get end No Shave November/No Nut November with a bang as I present this week's edition of So, Who Would Win? with a battle of two of the most powerful Marvel villains in the MU, Onslaught and Dormammu.

Now I was inspired to pit these two together due to an admittedly silly impetus; I just so happen to have their respective Marvel Legends action figures versions standing next together on my overwhelmed toy shelf.

Yup, simple as that really.

But honestly, the idea appeals to me because of the vast power both of these characters have/have access to, so the prospect of them fighting it out for supremacy is too good to pass up.

Of course as just so happens, I'm not the only one to think about having these two fight since the comic website Comic Vine already conjured up this match earlier this year on their own.

That's cool, but I still go ahead with presenting it here too.
And hey if you want to check out it over there, here's a handy link to guide on your way:
https://comicvine.gamespot.com/forums/battles-7/onslaught-vs-dormammu-576979/

Now I know there's a version or two out there of Onslaught, as well as the Red Skull version, but I'm just using the original version for the purpose of this fight.

Let's go to the stats to see how these two vastly powerful beings compare against one another.

-Onslaught:
AbilitiesPsychic omnipotence
Okay so that may not quite explain all of his powers, so here's a quick run-down/explanation:

"Onslaught is a psionic entity with superior physical and mental power; possessing the combined abilities of Professor XMagnetoFranklin Richards, and Nate Grey. At its prime, Onslaught is capable of telepathy, telekinesis, energy projection, sensing mutant presences, manipulating magnetic fields, and affecting reality itself. Onslaught can also enhance its physical size and strength.

Onslaught's true body was revealed to be a mass of pure, psionic energy that was immune to all forms of physical attacks."

So yeah, he's basically a god at the very peak of his powers/ultimate form.

-Dormammu:
AbilitiesMystic energy manipulation
Mastery of dark magic
Dimensional teleportation
Immortality

Here's a further explanation of his power set:

"The character is an interdimensional entity composed of mystical energy that can be used to achieve almost any effect he desires, including: energy projection, matter manipulation, resizing, teleportation, possession; necromancy, bestowing of power, and creating demon lords. In certain instances Dormammu has been displayed approaching a universal, or even multiversal, scale of influence.
Dormammu is apparently stronger in the Dark Dimension, being empowered by the worship of his followers, and can draw upon its power. The character has been shown to have one significant weakness: being vulnerable in environments that cannot fuel his mystical Faltine flames"

I don't know about you guys, but shit, they seem pretty damn evenly-matched to me.

Now I'm sure I could create a reason why these two would ever cross paths and have beef with one another, but honestly, who would care? They're both highly egotistical fanatics with want to the rule not only the world and the universe, but probably the entire multiverse too.

It could just be a case of them each seeing the other as an obstacle to that goal, simple as that.

So,

Onslaught

VS.

Dormammu

Who wins and why?

You know the deal, let me know who think is the last mad bastard left standing at the end of this in the comments' section.

Personally for me, this is a tough one to call, as both of them are redonkulously powerful, not to mention how much of a factor the environment could play in this. Like say if they were on the Astral Plane or the Heroes Reborn counter-Earth, then Onslaught may have an advantage, whereas if the fight were to take place in Dormammu's home world of the Dark Dimension, then HE'd have the considerable advantage.

If I had to make a gut decision, I'd have to go with probably Dormammu on this one, if only because if Onslaught's true form is nothing but powerful psionic energy, and Dormammu can easy manipulate all forms of energy, then it's stand to reason he'd win in the end.
But that's just my opinion. What's yours?

Alright kids, have a good one.
See you in December......

"Closing time. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here."

Well..... I kinda always knew this day would come, and it sure has. It's been a hell of a ride, but it's time to for it end. Ti...
