Extra scene:

Kudos to you if you caught the Elton John song references from today's blog title.

I riffed off his song "I Feel like a bullet in the gun of Robert Ford" and "Sorry seems to be the hardest word."
Check 'em out; they're really good.

Arm'd and Dangerous

Well it's certainly not the WORST unintentional Black Panther movie tie-in right? Right?
That's the BAF arm belong to the Marvel Legends BP movie wave BAF figure, Okoye btw.
Not really all in on this wave myself. Just wanted the the Black Bolt and Bearded Namor figures, which I got.

So, Who Would Win?: Aquaman VS. Black Panther

TGIT!!!!!

Ahh yes, it's that magical time of the week where I pit two individuals or teams against each other in a battle to see who will be standing after it's all said and done.

Today, it's a war of kings(Not the Marvel "event"from 2009) as I pit Aquaman, the king of Atlantis and the seven seas against the Black Panther, the king of Wakanda.

This ones' going to be a really good one, as both men are really very powerful, with almost unlimited resources and armies at their disposal. But all that won't be used today, as both monarchs go mano e mano to see who's the all-around better king.

Let's quickly go over and compare the stats of these two and go from there, shall we?

Here's Aquaman's:

Abilities
Atlantean physiology:
  • Superhuman strength, speed, and durability
  • Aquatic physiology
  • Telepathy and mind control extending to aquatic life

And now here's Black Panther's:

Abilities
  • Trained scientist
  • Superhuman strength, speed, durability, and senses from heart-shaped herb
  • Skilled armed and unarmed combatant
  • Skilled tracker
  • Utilizes vibranium suit and equipment
Now of course initially it would look like Aquaman has the advantage. I mean, he has more powers than BP, is all-around more stronger than BP, and the area he rules over is a lot larger than BP's.

But keep in mind just how resourceful T'Chala is. He's basically like a combination of Batman and Captain America with his quick-thinking and deductive mind, resources, and all-around fighting ability. With the mystical potions he took on the way to taking up the mantle of Black Panther, he's able to wrestle full grown charging rhinos to the ground, and has gone toe-to-toe with the Thing and won!
Then there's his suit, which is woven with Vibrainium, a very durable and strong metal.

Of course Aquaman's no slouch either in the toughness department, since he his skin is just about bullet proof and he gain a lot of his strength from being able to withstand the extreme depths and pressure of the ocean.

Throw in his mental powers, and it really gets interesting quick.

So,

Aquaman

VS.

The Black Panther

Who would win and why?

Let me know who you think is the last monarch standing in the comments' section.

"Closing time. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here."

Well..... I kinda always knew this day would come, and it sure has. It's been a hell of a ride, but it's time to for it end. Ti...
