This is a sample page from that issue, where we see some VERY familiar-looking cosmic beings that are due to make their presence known to the rest of the main DCU.
Don't know their names just yet, but yeah, Scott Synder totally just ripped off Jack Kirby's Celestials.
Now of course this could all be deliberate, in that Synder compared this whole Metal event Jack Kirby meets Heavy Metal music, with plenty of robots and dinosaurs.
And celestials....definitely, definitely can't forget the celestials....
