And so here are, another exciting edition of So, Who Would?..., where I pit two individuals or teams against each other in a fight to the death(or not) to see who'd be the last man or team standing.
Today's combatants are Clayface and Man-Thing.
Why these two? Shit, why NOT these two.
To me this would be an interesting fight because Clayface is used to being the aggressor and the scary monster-type, and in fighting man-Thing. he's going up against an opponent who's not easily intimidated or scared. In fact, people usually tend to run from him, because after all, "Those who know fear burn at the Man-Thing's touch"....so, yeah very interesting dynamic here.
In case you weren't already familiar with his power-set, here's Clayface's stats:
Abilities |
(Karlo Basil)
|
---|
And here's Man-Thing's stats:
Abilities | Superhuman strength and durability Empathetic senses Ability to secrete a powerful corrosive chemical agent and a counter agent, teleport himself or others through 'the nexus of all realities' and speak the Universal Language |
---|
Now as to the scenario in which they'd met up.....it's actually quite simple. Clayface(I'm going with the classic villain version not the now heroic version) has been hired to go the Florida everglades to either verify the existence of a famed portal to the multiverse, or obtain skin samples from the Man-Thing in order to make better monsters, I don't know, let's say it;s ohhhh, Dr. Hugo Strange that hires Clayface. There you go, good ol' evil sum bitch, Hugo Strange.
Clayface does it because he needs the money, it gets him away from Gotham for awhile, and it also means no Batman to deal with.
Clayface goes to the everglades, and trying to lure the Man-Thing out, he's got himself some hostages to act as incentives. This plan works, 'cause here comes the big green bastard now!
And GO!!!!
So,
Clayface
VS.
Man-Thing
Who wins and why?
Does Clayface use his unique skills and abilities to take down the Man-Thing, or will Clayface's clay hide get burnt at the Man-Thing's touch?
Let me know who you think is the last creature standing after all is said and done.
