"Give Me Silver, Blue And Gold..."

I don't know if you guys have already heard this or not, but Warner Bros. announced recently that they're going ahead and planning on making a buddy movie about Booster Gold and the Blue Beetle.
Which is great right? About time. Problem being, they're not using the beloved Blue Beetle we all know and love, Ted Kord. Nope, they're using the Jamie Reyes version. *Sigh* Lame.

Well our boys just found out about it, well Ted hasn't. Yet....

The End

Well, it kinda is. After all a lot of bad decisions in comics are being done under the banner/excuse of trying to show more diversity, be it gender or race.

Just horrible.....

"Silver, Blue and Gold", i'm pretty sure there's just about nobody out there who's gonna pick up on that Bad Company song reference. thus, do i once again demonstrate my superior intellect and good taste to the mental knuckle dragging retards of the world.

You are probably correct sir, and I applaud in your good taste in Bad Company. Damn good band.

What's your thoughts on replacing the established and well duo of Booster and Ted for Booster and Jamie? They did it on Smallville, but to do it in a movie? It just goes to prove for me, that most DC movies made after the Nolan Trilogy(although the Dark Knight Rises was nowhere as good as the first two) have sucked balls, further cementing Marvel's supremacy in the movie race.

didn't even know there was a movie coming out with them until just now. i remember reading Booster and Ted way back since their Justice League stint in the mid 80s all the way up to Project Omac and Ted's murder at the hands of Maxwell Lord. good characters and good stories to be sure and i liked the Jamie on Young Justice. but do i need to see a movie about any of the above? eh . . . i dunno, there's much more anticipated stuff in the upcoming movie line up right now with everything from Dawn of Justice and Star Wars. plus i'm just more interested to see how Suicide Squad turns even though my hopes aren't exactly soaring high right now.

I read a recent quote by Jared Leto about how people will want to see him committed to the nut house after his crazy portrayal of the Joker. Whatever. Not that he isn't a good actor, I'm just not interested in any shape of form about his performance or the movie in general. For now, I've pretty much written off DC's movies with the glaring exception of their animated movies, which continue to make their live-action cousins look like shit.

I was actually interested in the notion of a Booster Gold/Blue Beetle movie up until the switch out of Ted for Jamie. I believe my skit pretty summed up my thoughts on that one.
So yeah, if it ever gets made, I'm definitely skipping that one.

Marvel on the other hand.....with the exception of the abortion that was the faux FF movie, they've been on a roll lately, which hopefully won't change even with Rob Feige gaining more and more power. The concern comes with him essentially removing a lot of Marvel say so and oversight in favor of more control. Does this mean Marvel movies will only be marvel movies in name only, and really more like Disney movies? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

in regards to the recent FF movie i saw it a couple weeks ago on some boot legged movie site. ya know it actually wasn't bad up until Dr. Doom turns up. i think what fucked up the movie was the extremely poor handling of the character and hasty and all to predictable final fight and conclusion of the movie.

Minus that part and good bit of others, and had it been its own thing instead of calling itself the FF, it might've been received better. Maybe.

"Closing time. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here."

Well..... I kinda always knew this day would come, and it sure has. It's been a hell of a ride, but it's time to for it end. Ti...
