Dream Waves: Alpha Flight
Happy Hump Day People.....
Okay so it's been short while since I've done this, but I'm feeling inspired enough to go through one of these, so let's do it!
So on this week's edition of Dream Waves, I'm offering up free of charge, my ideal Alpha Flight-themed wave of Marvel Legends figures.
Now if you look and see, Marvel hasn't really been all that good to our neighbors from the great white north, as only 3, that's right 3, Alpha Flight member figures have been made:
1). Sasquatch
2). Guardian(Jim Hudson, the original)
3). Puck (BAF)
That's only three out of the initial AF line-up, and no you can't count Wolverine either.
So today, I'm going to go ahead and rectify that problem, by showcasing my ideal wave of Alpha Flight member figures.
Wave 1:
7). Guardian
Either update him late 90's look, or just redo him in classic look, but you have to, HAVE to, include a Guardian figure in this wave.
6). Songbird
A spirit goddess of the great white north, Snowbird is one of the more powerful members of the team, and one last few old-school Marvel Heroines to not have her own ML action figure.
5). Vindicator (Heather Hudson)
Why not Vindicator? She'd make a damn fine figure. Plus you can use an alternate head without the cowl on to do an easy swap.
4). Shaman
Shaman's definitely one of the few OG Alpha Flight members that hasn't had his own ML figure before. Time to remedy that in this wave.
3). Marrina
Classic or modern, Marrina would be a pretty good addition to this wave and her very own figure.
2). Aurora
One half of the Power Twins with her brother Jean Paul, it's way past time to see her made in all her ML 6-inch glory. Two-pack if necessary.
1). Northstar
Like his sister, Northstar is the other half of the Power Twins of Alpha Flight and former X-Men. I've seen them made in the 3 inch scale, and I think the old Toy Biz 5 inch scale, but not the ML scale.
DO IT HASBRO!
BAF: Box
Either version of this figure would be cool to see made. Box is basically a high-tech animated puppet inhabited by tech genius Madison Jefferies.
Wave 2:
7). Vindicator
5). Weapon Omega/Wild Child
He's basically the unofficial Wolverine replacement with pretty much the same deal except he doesn't have bone or metal claw extensions. He used to be in X-Factor as well during the late '90's.
4). Talisman
Talisman is the daughter of AF member Shaman, and thus has pretty much the same powers as he does, but even more in the mystical sense. You can go with her original look, or the one the update she got in 2007.
3). The Dream Queen
A powerful sorceress that was born of the entity Nightmare raping a succubus, The Dream Queen has the type of visuals that I think if done well, could translate very well in figure form.
2). Mesmero
Mesmero started out as an X-Men villain until Joe Kelly and Steve Seagle decided to use him in their Alpha Flight revival title. This is why he;s sporting the weird dark green and purple look, the than his more classic look. Still, at least this way he'd get a figure.
1). The Master Of The World
Think of this guy as the Canadian version of Vandal Savage, except it was aliens that made him immortal, not a special meteor. His suits not that bad if made well.
BAF: Sasquatch
Yeah, I figured, what the hell, let's make a Sasquatch BAF. But which version this time? Maybe the more shaggy, modern look, or a closer attempt to the classic John Byrne version?
What you guys think? Not bad eh?

Wave 2:
7). Vindicator
This was Heather's look during Kelly and Seagle's AF series, and the green's not bad, even though it doesn't make sense color-wise. Either way, it'd be a nice variant.
6). Flashback
This guy's deal is that he can summon different versions of himself through the future.
His look would be very easy enough to pull off.
He's basically the unofficial Wolverine replacement with pretty much the same deal except he doesn't have bone or metal claw extensions. He used to be in X-Factor as well during the late '90's.
