Guess what I found......

So yesterday I was doing a quick Google search of replacement sites for Rotten.com.

Rotten.com, if you may remember as I did an article on it last year I believe, up until the beginning of November of this year, had been around for 20-something years as the website that was pretty much the spiritual successor to the classic Faces of Death video franchise, just in the form of a website.

Now recently I discovered why Rotten.com came to be in the first place. Apparently back in 1995, the government was already trying to censor content on the still young, developing internet with legislation that became an act called the Communications Decency Act of 1996.
In response to this, Rotten.com founder Thomas E. Dell decided he didn't care for any sort of censorship of the internet, and created Rotten.com.

You can learn more about the Rotten.com's backstory in the is really informative video here:

Hey, it beats trying to read, right? Right?

And it's more in-depth than the website's very own Wikipedia entry.

Anyhoo, like I said, on a whim, I was looking up possible replacement sites for Rotten, and came across a reddit page that listed a few.

The two that jumped out at me were theYNC.com and bestgore.com

Now you know me, or you should by now. I don't call myself Mr. Morbid  just because it looks nice on the letterhead; no I call myself that because content like you'd find on Rotten.com doesn't bother me at all.

Well guess what? You'll find all sorts of beheading, mob justice, machete attacks and miscellaneous gore on those sites. So viewer beware if you have a weak stomach, you might want to avoid those particular websites.

But if not, check 'em out and let me know what you think.
Viewer discretion is HEAVILY advised....
